U.N. panel lists 5 N. Koreans, 5 more entities as subject to sanctions
A U.N. sanctions committee Thursday effectively struck a deal over additional punitive steps on Pyongyang for its nuclear test in May, including a travel ban on five North Koreans and asset freezes on five more entities, U.N. diplomatic sources said. The Security Council committee worked out a list of entities and individuals subject to new U.N. sanctions in line with the council’s Resolution 1874, adopted on June 12 following North Korea’s second nuclear test in late May.
