The Arab Social Affairs Ministers’ Council unanimously adopted the establishment of an Arab Elderly Day to be observed on September 25 of each year.

Western Sahara: Hunger Striker Aminatou Haidar Returns Home
Intense negotiations to save the life of Saharan hunger striker Aminatou Haidar and allow her to return to her home in Moroccan-controlled Western Sahara bore fruit Thursday night, when she was loaded by stretcher into a plane leaving the Canary Islands.

Tunisia: U.S. Congressman Stresses Country’s Commitment to Boost Military Ties With Tunisia
Following the meeting on Saturday between Mr. Kamel Morjane, Minister of Defence and Mr. Michael Conaway, a member of the US House of Representatives for Texas, Mr Conaway stressed America’s commitment to boost military ties with Tunisia. He also commended the excellent ties between the armies of both countries.

Tunisia: ‘Tethys Oil And Mining’ Granted ‘Mahdia’ Permit
A convention was signed on Saturday in Tunis, respectively between Mr. Afif Chelbi, the Minister of industry, energy, and small and medium enterprises, and Mr. Gabriel Barzescu, Director General of “Tethys Oil and Mining Inc.” and Mr. Khaled Becheikh, the managing director of the Tunisian Enterprise of Petrol Activities (ETAP).
