N. Korea’s Kim briefed China about succession plan in May
North Korean leader Kim Jong Il told Chinese President Hu Jintao in May that the Workers’ Party of Korea was building a system to hand over power to third son and heir apparent Jong Un, sources familiar with China-North Korea relations said Tuesday. During the talks in Beijing, Kim and Hu informed each other of the situation in their countries, and Kim said the succession process was proceeding according to a prearranged plan, the sources said.
